Album Description: Daft Punk's fourth studio album, "Random Access Memories," was released in 2013 and pays tribute to American music from the late 1970s and early 1980s, particularly from Los Angeles. The album was recorded in studios across California, New York City, and Paris, with live instrumentation performed by session musicians. The duo's use of electronic instruments was limited to drum machines, a modular synthesizer, and vintage vocoders. The album was accompanied by a promotional campaign that included billboards, TV ads, and a web series, and was the duo's final album before their split in 2021.
